My soon to be 9 year old daughter has just informed me that she would like to have her birthday party at our local beach. I like this idea, because I won't have to worry about my poor little house!!
I'm looking for some beach themed ideas, I think she is leaning towards a hawaiian theme..
Also, she wants to invite her whole class - I told her no, but am I insane for re-thinking this?? We'll see what Daddy says about that ;)
Ahhh, the birthday party question. I have 3 girls and every year we contemplated this all the class or just friends. I did the whole class more times than I should have thinking only about 1/2 would show. Nope. Everyone showed. And it wasn't so much all the children there that bothered me, but the massive amounts of presents my kids would get. My children don't need over 30 something new toys. It felt too over the top and wasteful to me. We now invite a small group of friends and it's always better that way, especially for our girls. No one gets overwhelmed that way.
